3pew: My family’s private dashboard, with screens an AI agent can write.
It shows our household records: school dates, lunch orders, recipes, reminders and a job-search board. The agent writes a screen as a short JSON definition, someone in the family publishes it, and from then on it works without the agent.
Private and in development, so there’s nothing to sign up for.

What the agent writes
I didn’t want every new screen to need its own code and a deploy, so in 3pew a screen is data. The app calls it a view: a title, a layout and up to 16 blocks from a catalog of 12 components, such as a calendar, a board, a record list and a table. Blocks that show records read from a source 3pew already knows, like school.schedule.
The server rejects any definition that carries code, SQL, tool calls or anything outside the catalog. It compiles a valid one into an OpenUI program, works out from the blocks what the view may read, and saves a draft. A person reviews that list and publishes. Old revisions are kept, so going back is one button.
{ "title": "School month", "description": "Dates and lunches.", "layout": "two-column", "blocks": [ { "type": "Calendar", "title": "Coming up", "source": "school.schedule", "initialMonth": "current" }, { "type": "RecordList", "title": "Lunches to sort", "source": "food.planning", "statuses": ["open"], "limit": 5 } ]}Revision 2 swaps the counts for food tasks. Changed lines are marked.
School month
Dates and lunches.
Preview only. The family sees revision 1.
Coming up
October 2026
- Library books due
- Photo day
- Lunch ordered
Plus 3 more this month
Lunches to sort
All 3 open food tasks
- Order next week’s lunches
- Buy lunchbox snacks
- Find the second thermos
This view can
- Read school dates and recorded lunch orders
school:read - Read the family’s food tasks
food:readNew
3pew works this out from the blocks. The definition has no way to ask for more.
Where it stands
Working
- Home, with sections and pinned views each person arranges.
- School, Food and Career spaces, each with its own Pewpew scene.
- Search across records, documents, spaces and published views.
- Drafts, publishing, sharing with Only me, Parents or Family, and restoring old revisions.
- Reading the household’s real job-search and school records, behind sign-in.
Not yet
- Remote agents. MCP only works on the local machine until agents get their own scoped credentials.
- A real agent writing a view from an ordinary request. The intended author is Hermes, the agent already running in our household system; so far, views have come from a scripted MCP client.
- Changing records beyond a job opportunity’s stage and next action. School dates, food tasks and reminders are read-only.
- A public release. The code is private.
The household’s voice assistant runs on Tokebak, the next project. It carries the 3pew name and answers as Pewpew.

- Status
- In development. A private proof of concept. It has read the household’s real job-search and school records behind sign-in; remote agent access and a real agent writing a view end to end are still queued.

What 3pew is and who it is for, views as reviewed and published definitions, what works today and what is queued (remote agent access, a real Hermes authoring loop, writes outside the job search).
A source review; the app wasn't run for this page. The real-data reads are as the docs record them, and nothing in them says how often the family uses it.

The demo's records and revisions are made up, and its rendering is a sketch, not the app's components.
